| I wanted to create a personal webpage that interested
people could visit
in order to gain insight to my views and opinions on a wide range of topics.
On Monday, February 4th, 2008, I accepted Transfer of Authority from the previous Deputy Commander of Joint Task Force - Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. As of that date, I became Deputy Commander with a JTF Staff made up of men and women from many states, but primarily from my home state of New Mexico. We are serving a one-year tour in support of operations here at Guantanamo Naval Base, in the country of Cuba. The world has its eyes upon this place as Military Commissions begin for some of the most high-value detainees, and I plan to share my thoughts and views on this historic mission as it unfolds.
